Default Motorcycle training courses?

Can anyone recommend a motorcycle training course, preferably in the Carrboro/Chapel Hill/Durham area? Ideally, I am looking for an intensive course held on weekends, or evenings. Thanks!

mmmm, not sure about those areas, but the community colleges usually have a course on the weekends. Durham tech maybe? Pretty sure Wake tech has a weekend course.
Check with the dealerships in the area, they should know.

My DH took one this year through Ray Price. I think they met at Wake Tech for the course and practiced at Walnut Creek Ampitheater.

This website has a training course locator -

http://www.msf-usa.org/

Harley Davidson may have their own course these days, so check with your local dealer (if you are a Harley guy/gal).

Wow, thanks! That MSF website is great and lists the Ray Price and Durham Tech courses.

Anyone with first hand experience with the Durham Tech course?

Any idea how much they run, and whether or not you need to provide your own bike?

Thanks again!!

I believe that most the beginning rider courses provide the bikes (and helmets). The MSF course was around $200 when I took it, but that was quite a few years ago. Definitely worth whatever they are charging though!

This website says $100-$170 -

http://www.ncmotorcyclesafety.org/

The Ray Price one is $295 (per their website, linked from the main MSF one).
