Default Hillsborough Street and parking

We're thinking about going out to Frazier's (I've heard good things) with some friends this weekend. I know there's metered parking on the street, but that can sometimes be scarce from what I've noticed. Can anyone recommend where to park over there? Are there (safe) lots nearby that can be accessed? I'm not too familiar with the area near NCSU. Sorry for the dumb question, and thanks in advance!

I'm pretty sure that Hillsborough St. doesn't require coinage over the weekends and there is usually ample parking available then.

If you can't find a spot right on Hillsborough, you can often find something on one of the side streets.

The campus side of the street is free parking in the evenings. It may also be that way for the entire weekend. Just check the signs on the road. I have never had problems finding a spot at night.

Thanks for the responses, everyone! Usually when I'm doing something in Raleigh, it's either around 5 pts, Glenwood, or Moore Square so I really appreciate the input.

You can also park on campus across the street from Fraziers on the weekends. Fraziers is an excellent restaurant...enjoy. Porter's next door is also great and might be a good spot for a pre- or post-meal drink.
