Whatever their lowest tier costs now. Everything is just getting upgraded.

Hopefully Earthlink will get a speed bump as well, since they ride on the TWC network.

Google Fiber is going to run ATT fiber out. Google is $70 for internet or $120 for internet/TV.

They have to provide the service first. The earliest we'll see it (based on when it happened in other markets after it was announced) is probably Q2 2016 with extremely limited access to it. Regardless, I'm very thankful for the threat which will be forcing my TWC upgrade soon.

I'm counting on it. Earthlink has gotten the same bump everywhere else. I'm on a Turbo promo and hoping 20Mbps goes to 100Mbps before it runs out

Just spoke to a TWC tech I saw working on my street. The MAXX date is May 5. Everyone will start seeing upgrades at that time through about May 10.

Hopefully that doesn't slip out any. I need to check my modem!

I don't know what kind of a deal that is. Granted I don't have the fastest internet speed going certainly not the slowest but that is what I was paying for TV internet and phone with unlimited long distance. Now paying $100 since I dropped HBO and Cinemax. It will be going up in August once the promo drops but not that by that much I would think.

Does TWC offer the 2 Terabyte DVR as part of their standard TV service like Google Fiber?

I have a family member in a TWC beta program. Not sure of disk size, but they have significantly more recording capacity than a standard box, and can record six shows at once. The interface is also slicker than the standard.

I don't have cable, but my general impression of Google Fiber's TV service is that you pay a no-nonsense $50 to $60 per month, and they don't nickel and dime you for things like DVR. Google just gives you one of the best DVR's at no extra charge.

Perhaps you can get that same deal from TWC, but I don't care enough to play games with their customer support to keep promo pricing. I generally don't think that cable/satellite TV is worth what they charge (so I don't buy it), but Google's straightforward pricing approach has a certain appeal to it.
