Hi, I am looking for suggestions on clothing consignment (adult) store and thrift stores in Raleigh/Knightdale or Cary. I used to be big into "thrifting" many years ago and would like to get back into it.

Cary also has many and good yardsales on Saturday Morning. Just drive around and look for signs...

Problem with yard sales is that you might have to go to 8 different sales before you find someone selling clothes in your size.

MUCH easier to go to a thrift/consignment store.

Good point. I missed (or forgot about) the focus on cloths. You are 100% correct, yardsaling is more for "stuff".

My favorite thrift stores in the area are:
Dorcas on Highhouse near DT Cary
The Good Will at Kildmayne (near the Big Lots on Kildaire)
And the thrift store at Laura Duncan and Old Raleigh (near the Food Lion in Apex).

I have gotten really good clothes deals at all of them. Especially men's shirts.

There is a big consignment sale this Saturday in Morrisville in the old outlet mall (1001 Airport Rd). They have clothes for all sizes including lots of women's and men's. There is a ton of merchandise there! (I am not associated with the sale but go there every year to look for kids' clothes.)

It's called Kidseverywear: http://kidseverywear.com/index.php?o...d=12&Itemid=66 But believe me when I say, it's not just kids'stuff.
