Default Searching for Firms

Does anyone have any suggestions or links that I can use to research firms besides google? I have used www.lawyers.com for law firms since I have done legal secy work but I also have done admin. work and I would like some leads on how to find the firms in Raleigh so I can get on their websites and an admin. job. I have been searching for the past five months. I have been diligent but not successful. I am open to all kinds of firms from banks to legal to manufacturing. I am open.

Thank you,

Default A few resources

Hi, Nanvas,

Have you looked for a state job yet? You can look for administrative support associate or office assistant jobs, etc and some of those might be nice administrative type jobs for you. At least it would be a job and you may even turn out to really enjoy it.

Have you tried NC State?
http://www.fis.ncsu.edu/hr/job_applicants/

Also, UNC Chapel Hill has a lot of jobs at
http://hr.unc.edu/jobseekers/?folderView=collapsed

Or, just go to the NC Office of State Personnel site at
http://www.osp.state.nc.us/jobs/

Try Wake County for jobs too –
As far as private firms, I like indeed.com as a search tool.
You can also try http://www.raleighataglance.com/ and search on legal and it brings up a few paralegal firms.

It sounds like you are at least getting interviews, so you must have the skills people want, I really hope you land something soon.
Good luck and wishes are being sent to you!
Sharon

If you are looking for law firms, I would recommend Martindale-Hubbell over lawyers.com. Martindale is the long used directory of lawyers. They have a searchable website too: http://www.martindale.com/

Thanks very much for your suggestions. However, most of the education institutions and hospitals prefer people with that background and since I have spent time in corporate I will have to stay in there unless I get a gov't job.
