T-Mobile Service in the Triangle?
Going to move to the area in a few months, and trying to decide whether to extend my Tmobile service for a year. So the big question is...will it work when I get there?
Thanks!

I have T-Mobile...and I get great reception even though my phone picks up other carriers signals...usually AT&T.
The only inconvenience I have is when checking messages. I cannot just dial "123". I have to listen to my own recording and hit # and then enter a password. It's just a couple of extra steps...not a huge deal.

Just as the previous post stated, you will pick up other carriers, like Suncom, or AT&T. We have free raoming so it doesnt matter. I also read that T Mobile has bought or is buying Suncom.

We had Tmobile when we moved here but switched to AT&T b/c of getting an iPhone. But the Tmobile was as good as AT&T in the triangle area. My neighbors still have T mobile and love it. BTW, when they got here they were going to cancel Tmobile but the Tmobile folks started giving away the farm so they renewed. Wait til you move & see if they will give you any extras. Neighbors got extra mins for no charge, free phones (pretty standard), and AIRLINE tixs!! Sweet!!

I just move here from Fl and I had to change my service, because T-Mobile told me that they do not service here in NC.

I heard the merger is suppose to be complete in April but no word on when they will phase out Suncom. I myself am hoping it's soon. I was at a T-Mobile store in Florida a couple of weeks ago and inquired there and they called their office and had no timetable yet. l

It completely depends on what part of the Triangle you are in. T-Mobile has the 2nd most limited (in my opinion) as far as overall coverage in the Triangle. Verizon would be number 1, T-Mobile then AT&T for the "major players". Alltel has a good local presence and has towers in areas that usually get little to no signal (Clayton etc). I would wait and go month to month once your contract expires and use your T-Mobile device here for the first 6 months to get an idea where it works.
