All of the above ! But I am sure that little will happen, there are too many anti-growth natives here that will fight it to their death ! I am sure they will happily state their reasons !

Considering pro-smart-growth, pro-school funding, pro-transit Democrats just won every county commissioner seat by 10%, I'm pretty sure that the majority of Wake County residents aren't anti-smart-growth.

But on another note, you know what I would like to see come to Raleigh? Not Thom Tillis.

I hope you are right. Some time I get worried about the old Raleigh types. The same people complaining about the height of buildings on Hillsborough St and in Cameron Village. They might have been resting up. Soon to come out again and hold up progress a usual.

Not Thom Tillis you can say that again!

I see no reason to increase the height of any buildings near the university. I enjoy being able to see the trees. Downtown is fair game, though.

On the other hand, if taller buildings came with raised pedestrian walkways and plenty of trees and plants, I think it could be interesting.

More BBQ restaurants, this is still North Carolina! We can be a progressive southern metro and remember our North Carolina roots/culture at the same time.
