Does anyone know where I can buy one of the inexpensive snow globes that people buy as souvenirs for their kids?

My brother bought one at the airport (PAST the security, so I can't go and get it there) for his young granddaughter a few days ago, but it was dropped and broken and she's sad so he'd like to replace it.

I know I've seen stuff like this when traveling. But who sells them around the Morrisville-W Cary area? Drugstores? Gas stations?

The globe is the one pictured below. An online search was futile; only found a wholesaler (large lots) so that won't work.

Thanks for any help.

Here are a few COMPLETE GUESSES. Please call first:

I find snowglobes at Walgreens during the holidays. You might want to try one of the bigger stores.

I was in Ashworth Drugs (downtown Cary) recently and saw some touristy type things.

I understand your frustration. We were in Alaska this summer and tried about 6 stores with no luck before going to the airport. We had just about given up, but found one in the newsstand. I know RDU has at least a small newsstand/snack shop in the main area before the security checkpoints. I don't know how you would call them, however.

Good luck!

Try RDU customer service.

They might be able to get you a pass to get through security to visit the store.

You might call the Museum of History gift shop. They have a lot of NC-themed items.

I would call RDU and ask to be connected to one of the Hudson News stores in Terminal 2. Ask if someone can locate the snowglobe, and transfer it to the location pre-security (they may actually already have them there). Then you can go in and purchase it.

My kids have one like that one you picture from the Science Museum in Raleigh.

In all honesty, the grandchild has probably forgotten about it by now.

Yard sales, estate sales...thrift stores...beach gift shops...Stuckey's. Are there any Stuckey's still around?

No luck at 2 drugstores, Sheetz, Kangaroo or Walmart grocery store. I'll try the airport tomorrow as I think there is a Hudson's before security. I really am hoping to avoid going into Raleigh. Ironically, I was just at the History museum a few days ago and they probably had them too.
