May 2-3, 2008: Just a Few Friends' (Durham-based community nonprofit) Art Makes a Difference: The Sixth Annual MOMart
Annual event, always the weekend before Mother's Day.
Carolina Outreach building, 2670 Durham Chapel Hill Boulevard, Durham (the old Elk's Lodge, right next to Foster's Market).
Participating artists are asked to donate a minimum of 25% of their total sales to the event's selected charity. Friday they will host a preview party, charging a cover at the door, all of which is donated to Carolina Outreach. All day Saturday is a free open house that features outdoor arts and crafts such as container gardens, plants, sculpture, and garden art in addition to the jewelry, paintings, stained glass, photography, textiles, and pottery participating artists will be selling.

March 29-30, 2008: Old Fashioned Planter's Day Event
Butler Farm on Highway 53 in White Oak, NC
in addition to the craft booths...there will be tractor pulls, hit & miss engine displays, old tractors/cars, country/bluegrass/gospel singing, games/rides for kids, work horses/mules, swap meet, food/drinks, pancake breaskfast (Sun. 7:30am), church service (Sun. 9 am).
Gates open at 9:00 am on Sat.
Admission $6/person, kids under 12 free. Those presenting military ID, $5.
