At this time of year? in Florida I guess? But where is the nearest nice beach to us where it will be warm enough to enjoy the beach?

Anywhere Ft Lauderdale or further south (to actually get into the water). Beaches in NC this time of year are plenty nice to go to and hang out at, just not to get in the water (unless you are drunk or have a wetsuit).

Florida was where I landed when I wanted to get some sun last winter. I'm not super up to date on what are the nicest beaches are; I went to Daytona last winter and it was fun but not what I would call super nice.

I thought North Myrtle was especially nice today. We came down yesterday for a few days while temps are mild and sunny. Just a little less than 3 hours from Raleigh

I like St Pete. The Gulf is warmer than the ocean.

You would need to explain what you mean by "enjoy the beach". Many people enjoy going to the NC beaches off season.

Sorry I've got 3 little boys. They will want to play in the sand and get into the water.
