The drought situation is bad in some areas, but not others. Cary had over a years worth of water left at the the height of the drought this summer.
There are so many oppotnities for early childhood education in this area, in deserves a 'nother thread.
Restaurants are good. No awesome sushi in Cary, but Sushi Thai in Cary is "good", as is Little Tokyo and Asahi (Korean/japanese restaurant). I've heard good things about the Asahi lunch buffet but I've never tried it. Sushi Thai is consistently good.

My DH is from India and we were not impressed with Saffron as far as authenticity goes. It's more of a fusion place (Euro Indian) and less traditional Indian. You will not be lacking for Indian food in this area. We like Suchi, Biryani house and Udipi cafe in Cary as well as Royal India in Raleigh for Indian food that we aren't cooking at home. I just tried Romas in Cary today for Italian pizza and bread and loved it!
