Why not just use Google Maps? You can zoom in pretty dang close. (way closer than an entire zip-code). I'm sure you can have them printed if you need a specific area.

You can purchase large-scale topographic maps (with aerial features) from the USGS at:
The USGS Store - One stop shop for all your maps, world, United States, state, wall decor, historic, planetary, topographic, trail, hiking, foreign, satellite, digital

The most recent of North Carolina are 2012, but they make good wall decoration.

There are also commercial sources like MapMart, which you can find with a search on "aerial maps".

Wake County GIS Mapping prints nice maps. I don't now about aerial detail, though.

Like pretty much all municipal GIS services, Wake Cty GIS has an Aerial Photo layer you can enable.
They usually are as current as you can find elsewhere. But the size you could print is typically very restricted.
