Publix #1514 has opened for business. It is Publix's 1,125th store and 1,006th pharmacy chain-wide. Of that, it is the 18th store in North Carolina.

Anyone know what other stores are coming next to Publix?

One store is going to be a Chronic Tacos. Really good if it's anything close to the ones on the west coast, we frequently went to one back in CA.

Sports Clips, Chronic Taco, Mr. Mike's Used Books, Nail Care Spa, and a dry cleaner appear to be opening at The Shoppes at Heritage Village.

Okay so went to the new Publix in Wake Forest and give it a thumbs down.
Parking is bad.
No where to put carts in the parking lot.
Prices are worse or same as Harris Teeter.
Layout is confusing.

Scratched from my Shopping List.

Waiting now for Lidl's to open on Rt 98 and South Main.

Default Publix #1514, The Shoppes at Heritage Village, 1030 Forestville Road, Wake Forest, North Carolina 27587-9361

Is parking bad because it a new store that is crowded in its initial days of business?

Most supermarkets usually have cart corrals in the parking lot. Publix has been placing them with islands in parking lots.

Wasn't crowded when I went yesterday morning. In fact I was possibly the only shopper and it felt a little creepy how every employee was asking me if they could help. It's a pain to get there too. Road closed.

I don't think so. No other Shop is open yet in their Plaza and there is no parking. Wait until the other Shops open.

I did not see the Islands at the Wake Forest Pubix. Maybe they did not put them in to save parking spots for the Grand opening.

Publix is just not worth the hassle to get in and out of IMHO.

I drove by on Sunday and it was packed. We decided to wait to try it out until it quiets down a little on the weekends. I think their business will improve once Rogers Road reopens in a couple months.
