For those of you who lived in the Orlando area and haved moved to the Raleigh area, do you find it more expensive, less expensive, or equal in Raleigh? I'm talking once you average out everything, such as taxes, food, gas, insurance so on and so forth.

There are more taxes here with state and car tax/inspection. I made slightly more coming to NC from Gainesville. The main benefit when I moved was housing here was cheaper. With the prices falling in Florida I'm not sure if there is really much difference in overall cost of living.

In emissions counties (Wake is one), $30/year. Non-emissions is, I think, only $9.25).
