By Black Angus (near the intersection of 540 and 70) you'll find Triangle Boxing Club (also known as box2bfit.com), run by Rick Harper from Philadelphia. Go by and talk to him -- he's a great character. They has classes (boxing, kick boxing, boxing fitness/bootcamp) and some open gym time.

Give him a call before you go over -- he's been expanding his business over the past couple of years and now has three more gyms -- two in Charlotte and one in Greensboro (I think.)

LABoxing in Cary -- don't bother, unless you just want to hop around while wearing gloves and listening to Rocky music...

Ohhh, this is a scary thought.

Are there any places to watch boxing matches? Do they have any events in the Triangle area?

For sure down in Fayetteville. Call Rick Harper at Triangle Boxing and ask him -- he's likely to know.

I took the ab class at the Box2Bfit facility and enjoyed it. I got a good workout. I am going back to take the kickboxing class.

Ok, I found a great place -it's just too far for me! It's called NBS Gym ... here's the link to their website: NBS Gym I visited the gym on a Sunday afternoon and drilled with a class for 1.5hrs - the instructors Wes and Amy are awesome - very knowledgeable and great teachers! There was some sparring going on, but I didnt' get in on the action. They don't have a 'drop in' rate/fee listed but I am going to look into that for sure! Hope to see some of you folks there?
