Right by Bond Park Dr....definitely worth checking out his place. Good friends of ours used to live next door. Quiet guy actually, but his front yard is something to behold.
Go to Franklin Co.(Youngsville,Franklinton). You'll see plenty. On cars, flags flying in yards ect. I thought the war was over. But sometimes when passing thru FC I don't know. Maybe they didn't get the memo.
I see more confederate flags driving through PA than I do around here.
Now, South Carolina on the other hand.....................
This is probably an over exaggerated statement, but I have a friend from SC who basically told me, "Yeah, it's pretty much a thing to have a Confederate flag on your front lawn in Columbia. Tons of people do it."
My neighbor has one hanging from his garage, right next to a Nascar flag. This is also the house that spells out J E S U S S A V E S on pumpkins at Halloween, one letter per pumpkin. So many stereotypes, so little time...
I've noticed a few flags flying off Highway 50 up around Falls Lake and Creedmoor, but that's kind of getting away from the Research Triangle (a little bit).
Yeah, you can see a tiny license plate or something of the North Carolina State Flag when we were in the Confederacy. Right below the main flag.
Yes, that was the NC flag from 1861 until 1885. Its the same as the current flag, just with the blue and red areas reversed.
Interestingly, NC had no official state flag prior to 1861.
I'd also like to point out that the flag being discussed here is technically the Battle Flag of the Army of Northern Virginia. It was never formally adopted by the Confederate States of America, except as the chevron of the second and third national flags of the CSA. I occasionally fly the first national flag, which fortunately has never been co-opted by hate groups.
