I hate to even need to ask. I spoke with a good surgeon, but apparently scheduling is a huge problem. Called the scheduler for days, no response, and even her phone message warns that there is ALWAYS a "high volume" of calls and that she TRIES to get back to everyone.

Certainly it's not like this everywhere in Raleigh?

Can anyone recommend anyone? Thanks!

Chris Watters, MD

Several of the staff in the OR at Duke Raleigh have told me he is a great general surgeon and that he is who they would go to.

Hoping this is not the one you called. If it is, please let me know. I will call and let someone in his office know.

He took my gallbladder out in 1991.

He's great. And I'd bet money he remembers me.

Hilarious incident occurred after they thought I was fully under the anesthesia.

He's a great surgeon. Highly recommend.

When he walked into the OR, I sat bolt upright (I was supposed to be totally under already). I looked at him and said "You'd better not **** up," then fell back down on the table.

I don't remember speaking to him, but I vaguely recall seeing him walk into the OR.

He told me this after the surgery. LOL.

He said he got my gall bladder out in 20 minutes and it was a textbook operation. But, he was working under pressure.

He's super nice and very talented.

Yes he is.

My wife's stone was as big as a ball and Dr. Watters regretted having to break it up since it would have been a good souvenir for his collection.

A great doctor and will get you in fast if it's serious.

Agree that Dr, Chiulli was an excellent surgeon with my daughter's 2 hernias and also with my gallbladder removal.
