You can check this pretty easily nowadays on Travelocity, even getting the options to enter a "flexible dates" option. Many other airlines would offer the same feature on their websites. USAirways could be nonstop, but not sure. I know you can go nonstop from Charlotte to LAX on that airline.

Was that one way or round trip? Southwest has flights as low as $99 each way in January, non-stop, before fees (with fees, I think it came to $228 round trip).

We have not been able to find a Southwest non stop flight in the past so if they are doing in now that is great! DH just left today for CA and has a stop in Las Vegas on Southwest. How is Delta these days? I have not flown them in years as their cabins seem to have ( in the past) really bad air pressure. My ears kill me the entire time I flew ( several trips) on delta where as other airlines no problem. So I was convinced it was Delta! Those are great prices!

As of today, they have several options nonstop from LAX to RDU. They may have recently expanded their service here, I think I remember hearing that recently. I am partial to Southwest because of their customer service, and they have a nonstop flight to Tampa that is around 2 hours. Plus, every now and then, they offer these crazy low fares that are like $39 each way if you sign up to receive promotions from them. That's cheaper than gas! I also like that when you call the 800#, a person answers the phone. They were very easy to deal with when I was arranging travel for a funeral a couple years ago, and I kept calling back to change my flights.
