I don't get how they come up with these rankings.....

In Wake County:
#12 Green Hope
#18 Enloe
#23 Cary

If you sort it by the 'College Readiness" stats:
Green Hope 56.9
Enloe 42.8
Panther Creek 41.0
Athens Drive 40.3
Cary 37.9

In fact, Panther Creek has a equal or higher rating than Cary High in College Readiness, Algebra Proficiency and English Proficiency......yet is unranked while Cary High is #23

If you read the methodology it says that in order to be ranked the school needs to "pass" three steps:

Step 1. The school must perform better than statistically expected for students in their state based on state exams. If that is true, then the school must pass Step 2.

Step 2. The school's disadvantaged students - black, Hispanic, and low-income must perform better than disadvantaged students in their state. If the school passes Step 2, then they look at Step 3

3. This step looks at college readiness. They computed a College Readiness Index based on a combination of the school's AP or IB participation rate and the pass rate on those AP (at least a 3) or IB exams (at least a 4).

I'm guessing that Panther Creek didn't pass one of the first two steps, so they didn't qualify to be ranked.
