Jordan Lake has 12 ramps - 4 of which are free, and another 3 that are closed to their respective camping areas, per: http://www.ncparks.gov/Visit/parks/j...cs/parkmap.pdf.

In my experience, it is best to get to the ramps before 11am.

I avoid ramps #2 and #6, which can get busy. I've used ramps #1, #2, #5, #6, #8, and #11 without issue. The USACE and the state has provided us with a very nice resource.

Honestly, Falls Lake and specifically Upper Barton's Creek can be hectic at times, but I wouldn't trade it for anything. It's like having a vacation spot 15 minutes from my house.

My only care when I'm out there is where are my friends hanging out and when do I get to wakeboard/wakesurf lol. I've been boating in crowded waterways all of my life, so I'm pretty numb to a lot of the stuff that bothers other people.
