This is specific, but thought I'd throw it out there for the city data community. Are there any places around here where I can buy metal recycled sculptures or made from auto parts? It's for a gift, not big gigantic sculptures but things you can put on a desk. I'm guessing a place like Inspirations Home Decor in Raleigh? Here's a link as an example

I bought a couple plant holders that were made from old gears, etc in the shape of dogs, from a place at Cameron Village. They did have other smaller items. Sorry, I don't recall the name of the store, but they had them displayed out front on the sidewalk.

Probably Accipiter? They often have funky things like the OP described.

Yes! Accipter. They have larger metal sculptures (not sure if they are recycled) likes dogs and cats but think they also have some smaller ones too. You might also want to try DecoRaleigh downtown - they also seem like a place that might carry sculptures like that (and probably local to boot!).

There's a house on St. Mary's Street, right across from Broughton, with a yard full of metal sculptures. The artist lives there and will make things for you.
