See any S&N/Bechtel trucks or Garcia Utilities trucks? If so its Google.

I'm still not convinced this will really serve Garner. I look at the hut locations and it seems to only reach 1/4 of Garner. Is that what they mean by "Garner"? If it hits a couple of houses that counts? There is not one hut near US 70 or Timber the heart of Garner. Anyone have a map of the perimeter this utility will reach?

Sadly I agree. Google has no vested interest in giving their competitors a blue print for which of their areas will be the haves and which areas will be the have nots. In time the real picture will emerge, and I agree it sucks waiting to find out which of the baskets we will be in.

Has anyone heard of when they expect the buildout to be complete or when sign ups will open? I checked their website but it only says they are in construction now with no ETA

Saw a truck with a sign on it saying Google Fiber contractor parked on the grass along Chapel Hill Rd a little east of NE Maynard in Cary this afternoon.

I hope this isn't what we're in for:

Just got Google Fiber in Austin, TX - Spiceworks

Other than it taking a few months longer, what's so bad about the Austin experience?

Honestly, I waited a few extra months to get the TWC bump but now that I have it I'm a happy camper.
