From your mouth to God's ear!

Ironically, after getting enthused by this thread on CD, I just put a fermentation box on my Amazon wish list to order. I'll hold off until I see what Hmart brings to town. Cucumber pickles, salt-fermented?

It's crazy.

Lot's of activity at H-Mart today. Windows are taped up to block viewing inside, door were open with work crews from Virginia parked outside and making noise inside. Looks like H-mart has started construction.

Oh good! I need an asian grocer closer than the one off Buck Jones. The one off Buck Jones is a mess!

This is awesome. I'm from Atlanta, and used to shop at H-mart all the time! Great prices...

I don't make it down that way too often. Is the H-Mart construction going full-force now?

There's still activity there but the windows are papered from the inside and block the view. Can't tell how far along they are.

Any update? A coworker told me today that they heard the grand opening was this weekend.

I had heard it was definitely going to open in June but haven't seen any news.

From their facebook page, dated June 13, 2016:

Quote:
Hmart Hello. Thank you for your interest in HMART. Unfortunately, at this time, we do not have a tentative open date for our Cary location.
Please keep an eye out for future updates via www.hmart.com, our facebook, and on press release! Thank you again!
Doesn't look like this weekend is the grand opening. I had heard before the end of the summer. . .
