Wake Forest is a beehive hub of activity, for a bedroom community. Right down on Capital Boulevard you've got your Chris Leith Pre-Owned Superstore, where you can browse for hours for a car somebody else didn't think was worth owning. Just down the street you have the 98 Bypass/US 1 Thrill Ride, where merging onto what will eventually be Capital can make even the best driver crap his or her pants, since nobody ever gives up the right lane to allow merging. In town there's the Renaissance Center, which has as much to do with any actual renaissance as Donald Trump does to rational thought. You'll also find the Wake Forest College Birthplace, home to a university that bugged out to Winston-Salem in the 1950s due to a scandal that is too opprobrious to relate here.
