My apologies. I did not see that you were talking about frozen. That being the case, I've no doubt that ypu are corr3ct and they are indeed authentic Hatch chiles.

Good to know

I saw the frozen roasted hatch chilies last night at Trader Joe's in Cary & bought a package. I'm not sure what to do with them yet, but I'm excited! I didn't end up getting any of the fresh ones this summer because the amount you had to buy was just too much for one person.

Fresh - peel abd freeze in small size sandwich bags, I've still got about 8 pounds in my freezer from last year.

Make pork with green chile in the slow cooker. On a hamburger (best if it's not chopped ). With scrambled eggs. Quiche. In mac 'n cheese. Quesadilla. Chile cream sauce goes great on chicken or a steak. Green chile corn chowder. Green chile cornbread. In Mexican ruce or Mexican chicken soup. I could go on. . .

I may miss these when we leave, live right next to NM right now. Moving away.

I dunno if Sprouts is in the area, but our local sprouts makes a great Hatch Chile Guacamole.

Ran to Fresh Market and got one of the two bags of hot left - on to roasting (there aren't many peppers in that bag) and setting google calendar for earlier in August of 2017.

Most cooks west of Texas know about Hatch Chilis, those of us who have migrated away from the source still long for a good supply of fresh chilis....so...next best, order online: Hatch Chilis...see link for recipes and ordering.

One example of a DIY mini roaster
