Southern Seasons in Chapel Hill has a huge tea area--with all sorts of products (including traveling mugs). Dozen of loose teas too.

hula - I have the perfect tea maker....totally agree that it's great. I use it almost every day.

rytard22 - The REI product is exactly what I'm wanting. It wasn't in the store at North Hills last night. Glad to hear your positive feedback on it, as I hadn't heard any reviews on it.

Thumbs up Loose Tea

I have found the most amazing tea store and it is right at the State Fairgrounds. Thyme For Tea is the name and the shop is located in what they call the Marketplace. They are open every Saturday & Sunday and the girl that owns it knows what seems to be everything about tea. She has over 150 or so different teas and the coolest tea wall so you can smell the teas before you buy them. I have been buying from her for over 2 years and she custom blends alot of my teas for me including my old favorites from when I use to buy at Teavana on-line. Not sure if she has the travel mug you are looking for but I know she has just about everything tea related. Here is her website Raleigh NC Spices and Herbs Online by Tearific Spices! but you have got to visit her at her store as in person it is a true tea experience. She has turned me into a such a tea snob.

This shop is on Glenwood at the intersection of Peace at Glenwood South.
It's really a nice destination with good food.

They were definitely right. Teavana is opening in Crabtree Valley Mall. I went to the one in Charlotte and I loved that place!.

Default Looking for Traveling Tea Mug?

Read about a traveling tea mug in a Tea Blog the other day. I believe it is called the "Teazer Tea Tumbler". Google it. I think it can be found on amazon.com, however.

Otherwise, until you find a good source for loose tea in the area, my favorite online source is -TeaGschwendner. Forgot the exact website, but again Google and you will find it. With your first order they also send a very nice book on tea. Their only store in the USA now is on North State in Chicago. Worth a stop if you are ever in the area.

Myself, I am looking for a good local source of Second Flush Darjeeling. Any ideas???
