Has anyone else had same thing happen? [I live in West Cary, and am one of the newbies flooding into the area and probably ruining it for you!]
Thanks

I received a recent phone call from my rep telling me to order a new router. The router is free, but you have to order it. Let me know if this is a possible fix for you.

Mine is so much slower than before this MAXX upgrade it is unreal. I switched DNS servers too.

I don't live in Cary, though.

It's a brand new service called "TWC Min".

Yes. It appears we've become forced into their beta test.

My 20Mb download speed degraded to around 0.5Mb for several days early last week in central Cary. Upload was not affected. I called TWC, they ran some diagnostic tests that showed major packet loss, and scheduled a guy to come out three days later, their earliest opening. Naturally, the connection magically fixed itself the morning that the technician was scheduled to come out.

Had the same thing happen to me over the weekend, went from 60 Mbps down to less than 1. Called, they told me to unplug my own modem (SB6141) and router and that fixed the issue.

Get your own modem for about $70, and you'll save about $8 a month in modem rental. When you take the rental one back, plead for a free speed upgrade if they wish to keep a Customer. Then, go back home and call TWC to phone in the new MAC address and magic happens. Now, I get 36 down and 6 up. Using model SB6121.

I run this test to DC: Speakeasy Speed Test - Powered by MegaPath
