Not from there but I have not heard great things about it. Mostly about drugs and crime but I would not quote me on that. I just know a few people who have moved from there and those are the reason why.

Horrible. Very rural and very boring. Lots of trailers and lots of poverty. I know someone will chime in and be all upset about my post but I tell it like it is. Angier is a very undesireable town and I wouldnt live there if you paid me.

It's one small town that's gotten worse over the years.

I don't live there. I can only tell you what I see from driving thru it to someplace else. It's a very small town. I believe it has a Foodlion, IGA, & a McDonalds. It's close to Fuquay Varina which has more shopping options. It's a cute town, but I know nothing about it other than what I can see with my eyes.

Easy to say what it is right now....
Angier is very small and very rural. However, FV is spreading in that direction with some major residential developments that will include high-end homes, so who knows what it will be like 5-10 yrs from now. I have heard that the GC on 55 is closing for development, so progress will be sooner rather than later.

Angier is a small, rural, farming community. It has a small historic downtown district that has been neglected and run down but has A LOT of potential. It's just begging to be restored and could be so quaint and charming. It is on the border of Fuquay Varina which is experiencing tremendous growth and home prices in Angier are even starting to be effected by this growth. I meet a lot of people that live in Angier and love living in a rural, country setting but come up to FV for shopping, dining, etc. Some of the countryside out there is just breathtaking while some of the run down areas are hideous and rampant with drugs and crime (or so I hear). The growth is definitatley spreading that way and it would be a good long term investment I think. It won't be small or rural for long. It technically is about 30 miles from downtown Raleigh so it's only a matter of time before Angier is the next Clayton.
Good luck!

LOL! This describes both Fuquay and Holly Springs 15 years ago!
All I can say is that some people took the risk and invested despite it's rural, run down, trailer park image and those places have come a long way baby!

It really helps those of us not from North Carolina getting your straight forward reviews when someone asks about a city or town, especially when someone has seen a city/town firsthand. Some people might not like negative reviews but everyone has their own opinion and it helps with the researching process for us relocaters. Thanks!
