We moved here from TN in March. We had to go buy a mattress at Mattress Firm, sorry. Just helping keep local strip malls fully leased. ;-) And we're going to have to buy 2 more mattresses soon with our twins outgrowing their toddler beds. $$$$ :-(
If you have noticed there are a lot of obese people in the USA and 500+ lbs. (2 people) on a queen size mattress (most mattresses sold are queen) will have an effect on the lifespan of a mattress.
It makes you wonder how stable an economy can be with all this ignorant investment.
Who are you to call anything an "ignorant investment"? What do you actually know about these kinds of businesses, or any business for that matter? Do you really think that all these stores are opening up because they're projected to be unprofitable? Do you think bankers or investors are sinking money into these ventures because they have a bad business model or that the financial projections based on the history of other locations are poor?
Didn't like Original Mattress Factory. All their mattresses seemed dated and old technology.
When we bought our most recent mattress, we tried OMF, and walked out quite disappointed. Their prices were not any better than the big brands, and the quality was nowhere near as good. Honestly, they were the shoddiest construction and quality of all the mattresses we looked at. They reminded me of a $99 mattress you'd buy when you were broke and in college.
