So the Creek at Weston inventory homes are priced at $400K+ for 2300 sq ft? Wow.

LOL, never. Cary won't even allow tall buildings. Cary is prime example of suburbia.
Maybe, DT Raleigh or DT Durham will get to 1/10 of Manhattan in 30 years.

I just priced out a basement Fontana, over the phone.

3000SF when including the finished basement.

$363,900 + $5000 lot premium.

Then, add in your options. I think you would probably be in the $380's. Less with sales spiffs from MI.

not exactly replica. But what I meant was which part of Cary will be most desirable

You won't get a new 3000SF house around there for that money, whether the SF is above or below grade.

I haven't seen the product yet, and they are just now working at making mud. But, there are plenty of areas where resale townhomes that really are nothing special are going for more.

I hope "none of them" is the answer.

The ones that are most walkable, which sort of eliminates West Cary, as it is currently.

Buy a resale townhome that is in a convenient location. Plenty of those around that are a short commute to work for you and you'd take less of a financial risk, so no need to obsess over schools for kids you don't have. Know what I mean?

If you are leaving NY because of it, why would you want it to be just like this? If you are looking for big city in NC, Charlotte might be more your style...otherwise this area will never be like NYC.
