Especially a former NYer. But he included Papa John's on his list of "so much good pizza down here" so I'll take his pizza recommendations with a grain of salt.

I fully confess that I'm newly obsessed with DiGiorno thin crust pizza.

But, Randy's FTW.

Randy's is my favorite, too. I just wish it wasn't so far away from us!

We haven't tried the other locations, but Randy's on Lake Boone is our favorite now.

I don't think anyone would have to look too hard to find good pizza in the area. 15-20 years ago was a different story, but there were still a few decent places.

Personally, I think Papa John's is one of the worst even for pizza chain standards. I always feel sick after eating their pizza.

Well, interesting question, but it's not really on topic or related to the Triangle, so you might want to raise the question in Health & Wellness forum.

I had Randy's Pizza (Durham location near Hope Valley Farms) for the first time today.

It was delicious.

Reminds me of Furgettibout It (changed their name to Camos Brothers).

Ooh, another good one - at least it was at their short-lived Chapel Hill location. I don't know what happened, but I miss it!
