No, if you get the regular spring and fall checkups ($50 +/-) its included. I typically leave mine alone, though. I have a wood burning fireplace on the first floor and that does the job nicely when we're down there.

He actually did calculations and his explanation regarding size checked out when I showed it to few engineer friends. He answered all of my questions (drew pictures and everything) rather than just saying to trust his years of experience.
