There aren't really any established ethnic neighborhoods here like you'd find in DC. The area is too new and growing too fast. Everyone here is from somewhere else. It's pretty well blended

Yeah, honestly DC doesn't really have the ethnic enclaves like other east coast cities.

So Cary has a lot of transplants. Would you consider it to be progressive area? Very accepting?

Cary is a large suburb that could pretty much be plopped down in any metro area in the country. Is it "progressive"?...not really, not really "conservative" either. Has a relatively large Asian population; especially in the fastest-growing NW area of the town. I wouldn't worry about feeling like an outsider in Cary.
