Does anyone have any information on the new proposed subdivision off of Richardson Road in Apex called Stillwater? Is this Wake or Chatham County? Any opinions on the location, as the custom builders going in here seem reputable (I.e. Gray Line, Legacy, etc.). Location is a bit remote but I think there is development planned near there, similar to West Cary on the Chatham County border ten years ago.

Wake County. Area is developing rapidly. Locals are sad to see the nice land tracts go, but such is life in a #1 town.

Here is a link to a document on The Town of Apex web site.

Stillwater was originally referred to as "Richardson Forest". The plans call for 243 SF homes that will be built by Beazer Homes. The infrastructure is currently being put in, no lots or homes are in the stages if being built the last time I drove by.

There is all kinds of activity going on in this area, some approved and in the building stage and others being proposed. I hate seeing all the open land get snapped up. This has really driven up the price of land around here.

I liked small-town Apex! The drive down Olive Chapel Road now, especially around Kelly Road, is a sad sight for me personally.

"Small-town Apex" vanished in the 1990's.
