To wrap this up we went with Johanna Miller who we found on Houzz. Very relatable, super nice, after sending out lots of emails she was also one of the more reasonable ones. Some folks wanted over $500 she was 1/4 of that amount for our 2 hour session. Now all I have to do is paint....

Glad you got good help, wheelsup.

I missed this thread the first time around, but for posterity: we have used Barbara Clare in the past and she is excellent, as is Magan Toth of Nested Interiors in Durham.

You cannot go wrong with the "Pottery Barn" paint colors from Sherwin Williams. Pick up a pottery barn catalog (each page features a room and paint color) and see what they are using. I gave up searching for colors, so just did it this way and all the colors were fabulous and current.

Was this just for paint colors or will/does she include floor coverings & window treatments as well?

Thanks....!

We had questions about floor colors and cabinet colors and she was helpful as well. From my understanding and by her talking she will do anything, either consult for just colors like we did or create turnkey designs including furnishings she goes out and buys herself. Depending on how much you want to spend for her time.
