Wife and I cannot pick colors. We know what we like but can't see the 'big picture'. After, and I kid you not, over 30 paint samples from Home Depot we've thrown in the towel.

We need someone to come over and tell us what colors to paint, and where.

Please help!

Any recs?

Several years ago I hired Moreton Neal just to do a color consultation. MORETON NEAL INTERIORS I don't know if she's still active in the business or not.

We used Homebridge Design in Raleigh and are still pleased with the color and pattern selections.

Paint the walls and ceilings white. I like white opulence by Benjamin Moore. Then the rooms will look larger, brighter, cleaner and you can use any color furniture, rugs, etc.

Just a suggestion.

Thanks guys keep them coming I checked into the one Bookmen recommended and we didn't much care for their portfolio, so the hunt is still on!

Homebridge looks nice lots of neutrals we may contact them. Thanks for the rec!

We like color, painting everything white reminds us of our apartment living days!

Homebridge Designs staged a number of homes in the Parade of Homes several years ago and that's how we decided to contact them.

Cameron Meek is the designer we worked with. She knew her business. I would hire her again in a heartbeat.

If you have the money and the time, maybe try to get venetian plaster. It adds texture to the walls in a variety of colors (I personally like the grey/brown/neutral tones), and looks incredibly classy. If you get the pros to do it (there are a couple in Raleigh), they will use the real stuff, which is a mixture of clay and limestone, and protects against moisture damage in the home.

Just a suggestion.

If you want to add color, I've seen Barabara Clare's work, really nice spaces.
Good luck

I know several people who have been very happy with Vickie McDaniel. I've meet her several times and seems like she would be easy to work with.
