I have never heard of Taylor Morrison. I am pretty aware of new construction activity in this area. I have nothing to offer on this buider.

The other builder in Colvin Park is Orleans Homes. They have been in operation in the Triangle for a long time, first as Parker Lancaster, than Parker Orleans, and finally as Orleans.

I owned a Parker Orleans home and was reasonably satisfied with it in the context of it being a mid level tract home. I would buy another Orleans home if it met my needs and budget.

The neighborhood itself is in a location bordered by lower end homes and mobile homes to the North and South, the Windermere neighborhood to the East, and the Merion neighborhood to the West. It is not really a notable or "hot" location, but not a bad one either. Decent access to US 1 via Ten Ten Road. Shopping pretty close at Millpond Village, where the old Lowes Foods is being replaced with a Publix.

The surrounding parcels of land appear to be developing quickly-Hovnanian's Lily Orchard is up the street. Many people who are getting priced out of 27519 are finding their way to this location.

Any thoughts on Taylor Morrison builders? I'm interested in their Durham ranch community.

Sorry for bumping the thread.
