I pass by these homes all the time on my walk into Downtown Raleigh. I'm talking about the block of Glenwood Ave nearest to the Beer Garden. Some of these homes look either not taken care of or looks like nobody is living in them. How much do they go for, or what's the story behind them? Can't find any of them listed online...not that I'd want to live there, but just curious.
the Beer Garden is on Glenwood. If you mean the homes from 700-1000 Glenwood, then many are occupied, many are less than 20 years old (tear downs from various decades including 6 in the last 2 years), lots of them are old rentals, and some are commercial properties.
Quite a bit. Some of those homes were split up into apartments years ago. I'd imagine whoever owns them now is just sitting on them while the land increases in value. That would be a great area to rehab or build new construction.
Owned by landlords and rented. People pay for the location. I live in one of those and am thankful for my old apartment in a great location with cheap rent.
VG Murray seems to have most of these properties.
Most just bulldoze and don't bother to.rehab. it's the Raleigh way.

It is a great location, just didn't seem well taken care of. Makes sense for the owners to rent it out.
