If the wings are just for me I like Wingstop Lemon Pepper. They are on the smaller side though. For parties I go to Ale House since they are larger and I like their buffalo more since it isn't on the too wet and too spicy side.

I like the wings at Salvio's pizza. The teriyaki are my fave.

We got wings at Woody's once and I can't remember if I loved them or hated them LOL - but I know it was one or the other!

Thanks for this. Salvios is my go-to pizza place in Cary, so now I'll try their wings too. Woody's is known for good wings, it's been forever since I had them though.

My fave's were from Natty Green's, but since that's not an option, here's some places I like:

Big Easy (Cary) has good wings (and the BEST muffaletta in NC)
Corner Bar is good
Off Kilter has surprisingly good wings
Lynnwood Grill is really good (N. Raleigh)

I've not tried the wings at a lot of these places but I am NOT a fan of the wings at Ale House!

Spirits in Cary has good wings too.
I usually make them myself in the oven (high heat, so they get crispy) and use Franks hot wing sauce.

We sometimes grill the wings with a little extra high heat at the very end. Almost as good as deep fried.

Archibald's Tavern on Sunset Lake Rd in Holly Springs with Apex mailing address. Awesome wings, especially the garlic parmesan.

I'm a fan of Chow on Creedmoor Road. Love their orange hoisin sauce.

I forgot about Spirits, they have excellent wings.

As for crispy wings in the oven, Alton Brown has an article about that. He is typically very informative, I forget the whole recipe but he basically says to steam them first to release some of the liquid which allow them to become much more crispy than regular oven made wings.

I can't speak to the wings, but I love their sweet potato fries!
