Considering how much disposable income is in the area, I find that really surprising. Next door to Brier Creek CC, "a luxurious golf community by Toll Brothers," and (with a few exceptions) all you get is chain food.

IMO, That's at least partially due to the food available at Deke's, the club restaurant. It's usually quite good, sometimes very good.

Not good lately. My partner doesn't want to go there right now. They took my favorite shrimp carbonara off the menu. And we just lost our wine manager. Anyway, about the only place I'll eat in the BC shopping center is Champa, and Lime Fresh (but I see from Yelp that it's closed!!!???).

Ruby Tuesday has basically shut down Lime Fresh. They had about 20 corporate owned locations...they're selling off eight locations in Florida to Rubio's and have closed the rest. There are also a handful of franchised locations that apparently are allowed to remain open, but I doubt they have much of a future.
Sheesh, another Brier Creek restaurant bites the dust!
Here's to hoping this means new opportunities for better local restaurants.
But I think the drawback is Brier Creek Shopping Center charges a lot for commercial rent, at least I know several years ago they were the most expensive in the area, more expensive than DT Raleigh since I had a commercial broker run some numbers.
There are still a few places we frequent at Brier Creek: San Jose Mexican, Jasons Deli, Zayka, Tasu, Aladdins, Flame Kabob, Chilis, etc.
I tired Rise when it opened in Morrisvlle. They were good, but certainly nothing to go out of the way for. They were gourmet Krispy Kreme style donuts. And didn't seem any better really. Maybe their biscuits are all that.
