We're on a strict wedding budget, so does anyone know a good affordable videographer in Raleigh,NC or surrounding area?

If your budget is super tight, just spend your money on pictures and skip the professional video.

I'll second that. How many times are you really going to watch it? If it's for someone who can't be there, you can still get some good video with today's good cellphones.

When it comes to professional video, "good" and "affordable" don't usually show up in the the same sentence.

Post on Craigslist. We paid someone $250 to record a formal affair in 2009 and we were very happy with the results. Granted there was no editing involved but in today's world you can do it yourself.

We used someone for my daughter's Bat Mitzvah who did a good job for a few hundred dollars. We didn't want to spend a fortune for just a party, but we did want it captured on video. I disagree with skipping the video and just going with stills. The video captured so much that we would have missed if we just had photos. Of course, you'll probably only watch it once per year on your anniversary, but that's about as often as you'll look at your wedding album, too - except for the few framed ones around your house.

Anyway, we used Mark Terry. Super nice guy. Did some editing and gave us a DVD and a thumb drive. His contact info is: Home
