Didn't someone here recommend eating local honey in the weeks leading up to pollen hell? I want to try that this year.
Local RAW honey can help build the antibodies needed to overcome allergies. It must be raw, otherwise the pollens have been cooked out.

Yes, I did it for years. I ate it all year long, but still no help for me. However, I now say Boo Boo a lot for no apparent reason.

The pollen has been out in full force here in the Tampa Bay area for a couple weeks and we are usually about a month ahead of y'all, so it shouldn't be long at all....depending on your weather.

Is it just me or are we already seeing pollen out there? Just started noticing it this week. Is it early or is this typical?

I noticed a little bit of white fluff floating around in the air over the weekend. I went to Walgreens that evening and bought a bottle of 300 allergy pills.

Gotta be out already. My allergies became out of control 2 days ago. Yesterday was pure hell for me.

Tree pollen was at the "moderate" level yesterday.

REdzin - I have read some stories that people moved down to NC and had to move back bc of the allergies. I guess it depends on the extent of the allergy and how much each person is willing to tolerate!

thanks for the info everyone!
It's unlikely anyone moved back home just because of allergies. We are one of the worst allergy metros but most of the time that can be mitigated with OTC allergy medicines like claritin. Chances are if someone you knew moved back up north after living in NC the pollen may have been a check in the negative column but the real reason was that they missed being near family or the QOL wasn't what they expected.

The Elaeagnus is the worst for me. I can't get anywhere near one when it's blooming.

My constant sneezing says yes. Started last night.

Time for the daily antihistamine. March 1 - right on schedule.
