I sold a guitar amp on it over the weekend, and will use it to sell our baby crib as soon as I can get it put together to take a picture.

Well, I for one am hoping people buy from craigslist. I just posted my house (in Albuquerque) on it this morning. Ive never bought or sold anything through it but Im hoping Im just way behind the times. The house has been listed since Nov. so it cant hurt to try!

I advertise my business on there (and get quite a bit of business, so I guess it works! )

We just bought a flat screen tv on there (which I LOVE)

I've given away things in the free section

Sold a stroller

met a stalker.

Guess I shouldn't have added that last one in, huh? lol

I love craigslist! I've bought 2 motorcycles and a lawnmower...sold a ton of furniture. Used it to find movers and a guy to install my garage door opener. Occassionally you get the no-shows, but for the most part people will come when they say so.

A co-worker (i swear it wasn't me ) used it for dating...which from listening to her stories i would not recommend.

We've had good results selling unneeded items on Craigslist.

Only thing is that spammers send phishing emails almost as soon as you list an item to get your real email address. Don't answer if email appears generic and not really pointing to your item.

I'm also reading the stuff in the pet section and If anyone is looking to adopt an animal ya'll should check the pets people have on there. There are so many out there looking for homes. Just thought I'd add that in to.
Be prepared for time wasters, no shows, scam artists, everything you can imagine , plus the odd bona fide buyer. Not wishing to discourage - just be careful

Of course they do...just not from me! lol!

Caution is the name of the game when selling anything- if you get a weird 'vibe' from someone trust your instincts. When possible, try to do any buying/selling in a public spot ( police dept parking lot my favorite choice!).

No one from Nigeria has money for You.

You don't have any dead relative anywhere that left you money.

Paypal, Bank of America and other financial institutions will not ask for your password and there is no problem with your account. IF in doubt, log into the site DIRECTLY (typing URL in address bar)

NEVER EVER EVER EVER click on a link in an email.
