For me it's the half chicken with two sides-- I always get the maduros and side salad-- at Alpaca (used to be Mami Nora's) for about $10! I always go to the Durham location since it's the closest but they also have a location in Raleigh and I think Cary too. Easily enough food for 2 people. Even better you can get a whole chicken and 2 sides for about $16. Get a couple of more sides and feed the whole family for around $20.
Please do not compare this to the rotisserie chickens you get at grocery stores. The 24-hour citrus marinade and roasting over charcoal turns the mundane chicken into the most sublime grilled meat.
The original one on Wake Forest Road is still Mami Nora's - the original owners are retiring from the business and leaving the business to their kids who decided to rebrand it to Alpaca (since I guess they're not Mami Nora anymore haha).
I LOVE Mami Nora's food. Sure it's a low rent atmosphere but the food is terrific. Go on the day that they have their Lomo Saltado on special; you won't be disappointed!
Mami Nora's was about the worst food we've ever had when we tried the Cary location shortly after opening - maybe gonna have to try them again.
Might have been opening week problems - I've eaten at the one on Wake Forest Road, Capital Blvd and Park West Village and have had consistently good food. I usually get the quarter chicken with yucca fries and maduros or the lomo saltada

Another vote for Nashers. That place is fantastic, although I don't know that everyone would agree that the cost of the sandwiches are a great value (I do though, as I think the preparation and ingredients are top notch).
