Same on Oak Island/Southport! Sunny and HOT! Had some rain last night.

I have found that the weathermen are usually wrong when they call for lots of rain at the beach.

I hate it that they cause people to change their plans or lose money on reservations for no reason.

They can only go on with a forecast with what the guidance shows them. It isnt their fault. It is science up there in the atmosphere. It is ever changing and with only so many guidance runs a day and balloon launches done they can only go with what they are given. Tropical systems are usually tougher to forecast as well, as they will say chance of rain in the forecast but it doesnt mean everyone will get rain all day long. The average public doesnt understand and sometimes only choose to hear certain parts of a forecast and run with it. And no I am not a meteorologist at all.

Brunswick Co. Beaches and Grand Strand definitely made out like a bandit on this one so far.
