I'm a 28 year old single african american female and I'm currently interviewing with a company in Morrisville. I have a final interview next week and have been doing some research on the area. I've been in OH for the past 2 years but I'm originally from Charlotte. So being close to home is a huge plus for Raleigh for me.

What areas would be best for me to live? I'm interested in an area that has a lot of young people and some diversity. I'm thinking of renting first and then buying.

Since Morrisville is close to I-40, you could easily rent in Chapel Hill (very fun, diverse, and filled with young adults with a great nightlife) and make the drive to work in about 20 minutes.

If that's too far away, I would say renting briefly in the Brier Creek area would be a great starting place - you'd be just on the other side of the airport from work AND you'll be close to tons of restaurants and shopping! The apartments/rentals in the Brier Creek area are filled with tons of diverse young professionals (don't confuse it with the cookie cutter, country club neighborhood... it's just in the same area of Raleigh labeled "Brier Creek").

You really can't go wrong with Brier Creek, as I lived there while I worked in downtown Durham and it was pretty fun and centrally located between all the cities in the Triangle.

Good luck with the move!
