Hi,

Do anyone know of a good SOD installers who can install SOD which I will order and have it delivered.
This is in Cary area.

Looking for 7 pallets SOD installation.

P.S. I am not keen on SuperSOD store as they are charging arm and leg.

Thank you.

look for any landscaping sign in your new neighborhood, and call them. If you order enough and get it delivered and are only looking for the grunt work of laying the sod down, you'll have no problem.

If you need some grading and additional quality soil - typical for new builds - then your list of qualified folks diminishes.

btw, a more specific location will only help responses - you live in "West Cary" past 55, north of 64 and south of 540?

It is just to lay the sod and nothing much. A bit of leveling here and there to make it even. It is near ymca area of south Cary close to SE parkway road with zipcode 27513

No existing grass or weeds? No Roundup? Just rake level and lay the sod?
Sounds like the hard part is already about done.
It is just down to laying out sod and a $300 water bill.
Any high school kid or handyman should be able to knock it out.

yes, if it's fescue and not zoysia, it's just a matter of getting the soil wet and raked and then sprinklers morning and night, hoping for the best. it's late in the year to try fescue, successfully.

This point cannot be stressed enough. If fescue, save your money until after labor day. It will be much healthier if you lay it down then. You might end up replacing what you put down, if you put it down now and we have a hot, dry summer.

Slap it down and water it to saturation as soon as it is laid. Don't let it dry out. Spin the water meter, and get the dispensation from Town of Cary to water on both Odd and Even days.

Fertilize and lime as per your soils test indicates before and after installation.

Maintain as TurfFiles dictates, and you will have lush jungle, as long as it isn't too shady.
Done right, you will hear it growing and taking root at night.

Go to lowes on capital blvd and grab a few of the guys hanging out on the side of the building. I'm sure a few them will hammer it out pretty quickly.
