Sanders Ford was on S. Blount Street in downtown Raleigh in the 1940's. Right around the corner from Moore Square in the 40's-50's. I bought my 1st new car, 1959 Ford from them. I was in US Army at the time.
I also believe Bill O'Neal Plymouth-Dodge was on South Wilmington Street. The bypass did Bill in. His first Plymouth-Dodge dealership was on 2nd Street in Clayton. Bill still lives in Clayton. In his upper 90's.
