Default Family Friendly Baseball

Hey everyone!

One thing we loved in Colorado was spending spring afternoons at our local minor league baseball games! They always had a family friendly atmosphere, fun mascots, giveaways, awesome prices and just a fun way to spend the afternoon.

Does anyone have a recommendation for a team/stadium that would offer the same? Sports are soooo different here than in Colorado, we are having a hard time adjusting!

Thanks!

you might want to check out the local colleges for some great baseball too. These kids give it their all and play really hard. NC State, Duke, and UNC all have baseball teams that have started to play already. Certainly family fun if your into baseball.

Welcome to the area!!!!!

Unc will be playing their home games here this year while Boshamer Stadium in Chapel Hill is getting a huge facelift.

Bonus ball games from a College World Series team.

The Durham Bulls are great. We have season tickets, but I know that individual game tickets go on sale in about a week and the game start up early April.

There's also several other minor league teams around North Carolina if you want to take road trips: Greensboro, Winston-Salem, Kinston, Burlington, Asheville, Charlotte, just to name a few, but there's a few more. It's really fun to check out the other stadiums, atmosphere, fans, etc. Just do a search at minor league baseball and you'll fine 'em all....

Go to a Bulls game. Durham has a REALLY nice stadium and they are one of the best teams in Triple-A ball...can't really say that about their major league afilliate though (Tampa Bay Devil Rays). The DBAP as it's called is just a wonderful stadium and it was designed by the same firm who designed Camden Yards in Baltimore. You won't be disappointed. I also want to try and get out to a Carolina Mudcats (Double-A) game this season, but they are a farther drive from my home. I hear they have a very nice stadium as well.
