Need to attach an antenna to my roof... don't have an extension ladder. Do you have one... can you help? I'll be most grateful and will pay.

Stick one end up on the dash(padded) and let the other end hang out the back(secured with hatch open) I've done it.

Have you tried mounting the antenna in the attic to see how well it works, before you go to the trouble of installing it on the roof?

Suggestion: find someone who wants to sell a suitable ladder. A $55 example: 24ft werner extension ladder

If that seller will deliver at no cost (or low cost) you use the ladder and then sell it to recover most of your costs.

I've done that in the past with good results. Only problem is you often don't have room to rotate the antenna (unless you get a really small one or have a large attic).

I used an analog antenna in my attic for years with good results. When TV stations converted to digital I replaced that antenna with a digital model, also in the attic. I rotated it slowly and carefully to optimize signal strength but reception was mediocre.

I contacted WRAL-TV to ask for advice and received excellent customer service. They sent a technician to my house. He measured signal strength at the street and said my house is "in a hole." Then he gave a bit of advice which was the key to problem resolution, and I'm passing it along here. In addition to rotating the antenna you may slide it side to side to optimize the signal. It worked for me!
